Aluminum Mirror Inline Magnetron Sputtering Line

Aluminum Mirror Inline Magnetron Sputtering Line is a kind of custom made machine. It can be variable designs according to the customer's needs, such as the glass sizes, the required daily capacity, the colors of coatings, the functional of glass sheets, and the quality level.

There are two forms of PVD technologies involved in this application, one of them is thermal evaporation and the other is inline magnetron sputtering. For small output projects, we recommend to use the batch type machine with thermal evaporation. This is one of the most simplest technology in PVD coating area. It only take about 10 to 20 minutes, we can complete a cycle of vacuum coating and obtain high reflective metallic coatings. The raw material is usually high purity aluminum.

If you require high quality level and with large output or for large glass panels, we recommend you to choose inline sputtering system. This coating system usually comes with multiple vacuum chambers which low vacuum, high vacuum, sputtering coating take place. The quantity of vacuum chambers depends on your requirement on output. The vacuum chambers can be connected to washing and painting sections, so that you can complete the whole process in an line. The tack time is up to 60 seconds, the higher output, or the more efficient output, the more vacuum chambers you will need.

High stability and repeatable quality can be obtained because of the stable coating conditions can be provided in an inline coating equipment. Magnetron sputtering technology is used in the coating line. Both of DC and mid-frequency magnetron sputtering can be used. The magnetron type includes cylindrical rotate magnetron sputtering and planar sputtering cathodes.

DC magnetron sputtering magnetrons is used for direct sputtering. It means that when the sputtering process happens, the coating thin layer was formed from the sputtering cathode, not produced by the reactive coating, which produced by ions and gas. The general coatings made by DC sputtering includes chrome, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, silver, etc.

Mid-frequency is usually used for reactive sputtering. Different gases are involved in this kind of sputtering process. It produces multilayer, compositions, nitrides, oxides, etc. This kind of magnetrons can be usually used for producing anti-reflective glass(AR glass), ITO glass, and other applications.

Another advantage for our coaters is, you may customize the machine for your special applications. We provide different level of PVD coaters to meet your coating requirements, and budgets.
