Transform ordinary plastic components into premium, high-gloss metallic finishes with our state-of-the-art PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) Vacuum Coating Machine. Specifically engineered to address the challenges of coating low-surface-energy materials like Polypropylene (PP) , as well as ABS, PC, and Nylon, this system delivers a mirror-like finish that rivals traditional electroplating—without the environmental hazards.
Utilizing resistance heating evaporation technology, our machine vaporizes high-purity metals (such as Aluminum, Copper, or Chrome) in a high-vacuum environment. The vaporized metal condenses uniformly onto the plastic substrates, creating a dense, bright, and highly reflective layer . Paired with integrated Basecoat and Topcoat UV lacquering lines, this system ensures superior adhesion and a durable, scratch-resistant surface.
Applications
This versatile metallizing system is the ideal solution for high-volume decorative coating across various industries:
-
Automotive: Headlight reflectors, interior trim, grilles, and emblems.
-
Cosmetics & Packaging: High-end bottle caps, jars, and perfume closures.
-
Consumer Electronics: Cell phone casings, loudspeaker components, and computer accessories.
-
Household & Decor: Christmas ornaments, giftware, toys, and sanitary fittings.

Advantages
1. Superior Adhesion on PP Plastic
Polypropylene"s low surface energy makes metallization challenging. Our system overcomes this through optimized plasma pretreatment and specific basecoat application, creating a strong mechanical and chemical bond between the PP substrate and the metallic layer, ensuring the coating remains peel-resistant and durable.
2. Eco-Friendly & Sustainable
Say goodbye to the toxic wastewater and hazardous chemicals associated with traditional electroplating (hexavalent chromium, cyanides). This PVD process is a "Green Technology"—it is dry, produces zero liquid effluent, and complies with international environmental standards.
3. High Efficiency & Fast Pumping Speed
Designed for productivity, the system features a robust pumping pack (Diffusion Pump/Roots Pump/Rotary Vane Pump) that achieves working vacuum rapidly, significantly reducing cycle times and lowering energy consumption per batch.
4. Precision Engineering for Uniformity
The combination of planetary rotation jigs and strategically placed evaporation sources guarantees an even coating thickness across the entire workload, eliminating shadow effects on complex geometries and ensuring a consistent color tone.
5. Fully Automatic PLC Control
The intuitive touchscreen interface allows operators to monitor the process in real-time, store multiple coating recipes, and switch between manual and fully automatic modes. This minimizes human error and ensures consistent quality from batch to batch.
Process Flow
- Pretreatment & Basecoating: Parts are cleaned and sprayed with a UV basecoat to improve adhesion and smoothness.
- Loading: Parts are loaded onto rotating fixtures within the vacuum chamber.
- Vacuum pumping(Evacuation): The chamber is sealed and evacuated to a high vacuum.
- Metallization: The metal wire (e.g., Aluminum) is vaporized by resistance heating and deposits onto the rotating parts.
- Venting & Unloading: The vacuum is released, and the metallized parts are removed.
- Topcoating: A protective UV topcoat is applied for scratch and corrosion resistance, often imparting the final color.
