PVD Vacuum Gold Plating Machine for Door Handles

Door handle decorative coating mainly pursues beautiful colors (such as gold, rose gold, black nickel, chrome, etc.), corrosion resistance, wear resistance and fingerprint resistance. The PVD vacuum equipment used for this purpose can employ multi-arc ion plating technology or magnetron sputtering, or a combination of the two technologies to obtain better film quality.
Multi-arc ion plating:
This is currently the most widely used and mainstream technology in door handle coating. It uses multi-arc cathode to evaporate and ionize metal targets (such as titanium, zirconium, chromium) in a vacuum chamber, and at the same time, reaction gases (such as nitrogen, acetylene, oxygen) are introduced to form a layer of titanium nitride (TiN, gold), zirconium nitride (ZrN, bright gold), titanium carbonitride (TiCN, rose gold) and other colored films on the surface of the door handle.
Advantages:
The bonding force is extremely strong: the ion bombardment makes the film layer and the substrate almost metallurgically bonded, which is very firm and not easy to fall off.
High hardness and wear resistance: TiN, ZrN, etc. are hard coatings, which can effectively resist scratches and wear.
Uniform and stable color: high color repeatability through precise control of process parameters.
Magnetron sputtering:
Advantages:
The film layer is very dense and smooth: the surface quality is good and the appearance is delicate.
High quality of film layer: uniform coating, especially suitable for products requiring extremely high surface finish.
Composite equipment (multi-arc + magnetron sputtering) solution:
The equipment integrates a multi-arc cathode and a magnetron sputtering target at the same time.
Workflow:
Bottom layer: First, multi-arc plating is used as the primer, a very thin layer of titanium or chromium is deposited, and its extremely high bonding force is used as the transition layer.
Intermediate layer/surface layer: Then use magnetron sputtering to deposit the main functional layer and decorative layer, taking advantage of its smooth surface and pure color.
This option combines the best of both to get both an extremely strong bonding force and the most perfect appearance, making it the highest quality solution available.
